Job description

Overview

Our Client, a American Multinational Clothing and Accessories Retailer company, is looking for a Designer for their New York, NY location.

Responsibilities

  • Client Outlet, Client X and Collaboration teams in creation and execution of seasonal color palettes.
  • Maintain and update Client Color Library Inventory, and develop new color standards as needed
  • Collaborate with Concept and Design to create seasonal color palettes
  • Match color inspiration retail samples
  • Create digital color palettes in Adobe Illustrator and Miro
  • Finalize color elections (70-120 colors), distribute internally to cross functional partners and externally to global agents, vendors, factories, and mills
  • Assess inventory for each elected color.

    Communicate with color service partners to develop new color standards and update library archive and color wall
  • Digital color management.

    Use IQC software/Spectrophotometer- color data to inform Centric, GIS and CAD teams
  • Add seasonal color palettes to Centric/PLM system
  • Upon request, advise CAD & PD teams, on lab dip comments, strike off reviews and CAD color calibration
  • Provide Pantone matches to Client Standards as needed

Requirements

  • Whiz at alphabetizing and filing swatch libraries
  • MS Excel, facility with spreadsheets
  • Adobe Illustrator basic knowledge including digital swatch creation
  • Color acuity, with minimum score of “Superior Discrimination” on Farnsworth Munsell hue 100 test.
  • Fluent with IQC color software and spectrophotometer
  • Detail oriented with keen focus
