Essential Job Functions

  • Identify, support, and industrialize repair processes.
  • Facilitate implementation and qualification of new repairs.
  • Participate directly with the Component Engineering team.
  • Provide technical direction to shop engineering team.
  • Support repair projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cycle.
  • Review and approve shop repair plans and work instructions.
  • Provide technical assistance for process and quality issue resolution.
  • Perform special process audits to ensure compliance with GE requirements.
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
  • Participate on teams for problem solving, standardization, and best practice sharing.
  • Participate in technical and program reviews as needed.
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in, with, and/or supporting a manufacturing, Services, repair, or design environment.
  • Lean training or equivalent quality training.
  • Strong mechanical design and analytical background.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
  • Ability and established track record to drive projects to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.

  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM
  • Location: Greenville, SC
    Travel: Minimal < 5%
    Compensation type: Salary Exempt with a competitive package dependent on level of experience
