**Job Description**

This role will focus on building scalable backend services, secure APIs, and cloud-native applications using modern DevOps practices and AI integrations.

**Key Responsibilities**
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using **Python 3.x, Django 5.x, and Django REST Framework**
• Architect and optimize databases using PostgreSQL v14+ or AlloyDB
• Implement secure authentication and authorization flows using SAML
• Build and deploy microservices on **Google Cloud Platform** , especially Cloud Run
• Integrate and manage CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket and Jenkins
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality features
• Work with LLMs like Google Gemini and OpenAI for intelligent automation and data enrichment
• Containerize applications using Docker and contribute to deployment pipeline automation

**Required Qualifications**
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in **Python and Django**
• Hands-on experience with **Django REST Framework**
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL or AlloyDB performance tuning and schema design
• Experience with SAML for enterprise-grade authentication
• Proven experience deploying applications on **Google Cloud Platform** , especially Cloud Run
• Familiarity with Bitbucket and Jenkins for version control and CI/CD
• Exposure to LLMs (Google Gemini, OpenAI) in production or experimental environments
• Strong knowledge of Docker and container orchestration
• Experience automating deployment pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaborative development practices

Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications.

Applies scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems.

He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance.

His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.

The software engineer builds skills and expertise of his/her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities.
5.

The software engineer collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: **USD 105000 to 118665 per year**

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.

The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting.

This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
