Walker & Dunlop’s Summer Internship Program provides a dynamic environment for students to learn aspects of the commercial real estate finance industry.
Each year, W&D invites a distinguished group of interns to participate in a ten-week training and mentoring program to help build their skills and learn about the organization.
Interns will play supporting and individual contributor roles and have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to our business through hands-on training.

Our Servicing Team services all Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA Finance loans originated by the Company, as well as certain life insurance company, bank, and CMBS loans.
Our Servicing Team is the borrower’s primary point of contact, and the Team ensures that the requirements of the investors are met from loan closing through payoff.
The Department consists of six main functional areas: Loan Administration, Asset Management, Insurance Compliance, Investor Reporting, Treasury, and Compliance.
The Company’s Servicing portfolio is the 8th largest in the U.S., and the Servicing Team is one of Fitch’s highest-rated Servicers, with a rating of CPS1-.
Interns on the HUD Asset Management team are responsible for the monitoring of property financial statements and inspections along with general portfolio surveillance.

Primary Responsibilities
Contact borrowers to request HUD Audited Financial Statements.
Review Audited Financial Statements for findings and other metrics.
QC data quality in internal servicing system
Review quarterly financial reporting submissions from healthcare operators for accuracy and completeness in preparation for submission to HUD.
Ensure quality of loan and client data in the company’s servicing system.
Handle additional projects as assigned.
Communicate and problem-solve daily with teammates and other internal stakeholders.
Education and Experience
Must be enrolled full-time and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an undergraduate program at an accredited university
Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
Must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
Must be able to commit to the 10-week program beginning June 1st and ending August 7th
Relevant work experience a plus

This position pays $28/hr.
