Job description

This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

At a Glance

  • You’re a motivated rising senior student with a 3.0 GPA or higher seeking a degree in one of the following areas listed below from an accredited college or university:Legal Studies, Business, Data, or Research related field 
  • This is a full-time, 10-week program designed to give you real-world experience working within the telecommunications industry in your field of choice.
  • Internship program runs from May 27 through July 31, 2026.
  • In addition to the role-based projects you’ll work on, you’ll also participate in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and have access to a mentor.

    You’ll join one of our departments for the summer, where you’ll contribute to meaningful projects that give you insight into what it’s like to work at a leading connectivity company.

  • What you can expect in this role 

    As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams — your respective department and your intern peer group.

    Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule.

    You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 27th, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects, and final presentations.

    Internship responsibilities may include

  • Learn about rules, regulations, and best practices that regard accessibility
  • Work cross-functionally with Charter's accessibility team and other departments that maintain compliance programs
  • Research industry standards for effective compliance programs
  • Investigate systems and tools commonly used by compliance professionals for monitoring reporting

  • Required qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor’s degree between December 2026 - May 2027
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
  • Preferred qualifications

  • Compliance-related experience or some exposure to risk in a business context
  • An interest in subject matter that is impactful to people with disabilities (direct experience is not required)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe, and Webex
  • Comfort with learning how to use Power BI and other forms of data analytics technology
  • Strong research skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of new information
  • Independent decision-maker, curious, and pragmatic under pressure
  • Ability to collaborate with others, oral, written, organization, problem-solving and time management skills

    The base pay for this position generally is between $27.50 and $29.50.

    The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
