Overview
The Data Governance and Quality Intern will work within the Data & Analytics group at DLH.
The team uses a center-led approach to unlock actionable insights by fostering data literacy and stewardship, through implementation of data governance, data quality, and analytical initiatives.
Education/Requirements
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in Business, Communications, Marketing or a related major.
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors
Effective candidates will demonstrate a diverse set of skills:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present ideas logically and concisely to diverse audiences.
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
· Demonstrated quantitative and data analysis skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
The Data Governance and Quality Intern will work on a variety of initiatives including but not limited to:
1.
Serve as a junior program manager for Data Governance and Quality related programs
2.
Track and maintain budget for merchandise and events, generating quarterly updates on the program, and identify deficiencies
3.
Evaluate and provide strategic recommendations for overall improvement in Data Governance and Quality related program
4.
Assist the team in planning Data Governance and Quality events and communicating with vendors
5.
Design/ Review Data Governance & Quality marketing material including posters/brochures/forms, etc.
6.
Other duties as assigned
Hybrid Work
All internships follow our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely.
Interns must be in the immediate Pittsburgh area for the summer.
Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.
