The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization.

The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra.

You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!
Our team serves as an innovation incubator within the organization, focusing on the rapid development and advancement of early stage concepts, particularly in areas outside the company’s traditional core.

By identifying and addressing customer problems, we quickly generate proofs of concept that lay strong foundations for novel, purpose-driven solutions.

We push the boundaries of technology by advancing cutting-edge electro-mechanical business products, robotics, vision systems, automation/AI, nextgeneration printing, and edge devices(IoT).

Responsibilities:

+ PCBA Bring up

+ Electrical Design - PCBA development, Schematic Layout

+ Use standard electronics lab equipment to analyze, characterize, and debug electronic circuit boards and subsystems

+ Proof of Concept board wiring

+ Component selection

+ Light programming

+ Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills

+ Increase technology knowledge and skills

+ Develop team-based work proficiencies

+ Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities

THIS IS A HYBRID INTERNSHIP LOCATED IN JOHNSTON, RI.

THE EXPECTATION IS AT LEAST 3 DAYS OF IN-OFFICE ATTENDANCE.



Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

+ Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Electrical Engineering

+ Must have an anticipated graduation date between 2026-2027

+ Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experienced with schematic and layout tools (preferably Mentor PADS Designer)

+ Experienced with typical electronics lab test equipment such as scopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, etc.



+ Experienced with programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, etc.



+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)

+ Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow

+ Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences

+ Ability to collaborate as part of a team

+ Effective verbal and written communication skills

Salary: USD 32.00 Hourly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs.

For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.

In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together.
