What we need:

We are seeking an experienced Expert UI Engineer to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a cutting-edge, next-generation video game project, developing, implementing, and optimizing UI systems across multiple platforms.

As an Expert UI Engineer, youll take ownership of UI development, collaborating closely with designers and engineers to create high-performance, visually striking interfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Build and share ownership of fundamental UI architecture and functionality
• Support UI team members and development partners in creation, maintenance, and iteration of game UI, in service of the game as a whole
• Contribute to and reinforce best practices of UI creation, testing, patterns and workflows
• Maintain, refactor and optimize legacy UI systems
• Work with the Lead UI Engineer and UI Design Leadership in establishing high level tech goals

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of programming experience with expertise in C/C++, preferably in a creative, fast-paced development environment
• Proficiency with Unreal Engine's Slate and UMG
• Experience building and optimizing complex, real-time user interfaces for AAA games across multiple platforms
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and experience working with both technical and non-technical teams
• Fluency with high-level material pipelines
• A deep understanding of UI/UX design principles and player-focused development
• Passion for video games, particularly action, FPS, or 3PS titles, with at least one AAA game title shipped

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $148,000 and $200,000 per year.

However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.

If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
