We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Georgetown, KY on nd shift.
This is a direct hire opportunity at the customer’s site, offering competitive pay and long-term career growth in a high-performance manufacturing environment.
This position is responsible for supporting continuous improvement of forging equipment and processes by applying sound maintenance practices and technical skills.
The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical expertise, particularly in a heavy industrial setting.
Perform all maintenance-related functions safely and efficiently
Troubleshoot and maintain equipment, including electrical systems (v), PLCs (preferably Allen-Bradley ControlLogix), and instrumentation
Support and lead reliability and training initiatives within the electrical and instrumentation teams
Develop and implement reliability programs to improve system performance and minimize downtime
Coordinate with contractors and oversee specialty service providers
Assist with capital project development for new installations and major repairs
Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and customer standards during maintenance activities
Maintain accurate documentation and testing records for equipment maintenance and upgrades
Evaluate and recommend tools, spare parts, and skills needed to support efficient maintenance operations
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
– years of hands-on maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment
Proven ability to work around high-temperature materials and automated equipment (, conveyors, robots)
Strong working knowledge of v electrical systems, PLCs (Allen-Bradley or equivalent), and instrumentation
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Strong sense of initiative and motivation to improve maintenance processes
Flexibility to adjust work schedule as needed based on operational requirements
Preferred Experience:
Exposure to forging environments or similar heavy manufacturing processes
Experience with capital project planning and execution
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical certifications or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or related field preferred
