2nd shift hours are Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2am
The Machine Operator will have the opportunity to flex between working with both a laser and a brake press machine.
This position is responsible for bending/fabricating parts according to specifications, and plays a critical role in ensuring that our parts are created in both an efficient and timely manner.
| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · High school diploma or GED · One year experience with programming, setup, and operation of a production laser and/or brake press (or machine operation equivalent) · One year experience working in a manufacturing environment |
| PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Forklift certified |
| ESSENTIAL DUTIES: · Follow production schedule to appropriately program the laser to produce adequate product to fulfill production needs in a timely manner · Setup and operate high speed laser cutting machine by loading and unloading materials as required. · Setup and nest programs. · Movement of raw material – including the potential to drive a fork lift. · Check and inspect raw material to ensure conformance to specifications. · Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas. · Material movement to and from machine. · Install and secure punches and dies. · Adjust ram stroke and back gauging to properly form parts. · Inspect parts using measuring tools as appropriate. · Confirm that all safety procedures and practices are followed and fill out time study forms nightly |
| KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: · Good computer skills · Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments. · Good verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English |
