Urgent! (3rd Shift) UT Level II Inspector Job Opening In Piedmont – Now Hiring Element Materials Technology
**Overview**
Element has an opportunity for a NDT - Ultrasonic Inspector, Nas 410 Level I and Level II (3rd Shift) to perform Testing using specific techniques on aerospace products.
Uses knowledge of products, manufacturing processes, equipment set-up, and NDT methods to process parts for inspection following specific operating procedures.
Interprets and evaluates test results.
This position will also be required to travel to perform setups/calbriations/repairs to UT systems across the Element network.
Salary: $25- $35/hr DOE
Hours:
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications
+ Accurately record results and associated data of nondestructive tests and evaluations
+ Maintain familiarity with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of Level I technicians.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Actively contribute to company safety culture by observing all company safety policies and procedures
+ Use caution and proper handling of company property, equipment, tools, and customer product
+ Maintain a high level of energy to deliver customer parts on time or ahead of schedule.
**Skills / Qualifications**
+ High school diploma/GED required
+ NAS 410 Level 1 or Level 2 experience (or equivalent) with documented evidence of qualification.
+ Written Communication: ability to read and interpret information, write legibly, take accurate measurements from a tape measure, present numerical data effectively, and edit work for correct spelling and grammar
+ Self-motivated, with the ability to problem solve and analyze information skillfully
+ Ability to clearly communicate with team members, supervisors, and all others throughout the organization in a professional manner
+ Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
+ Proficiency using computers (word, & excel)
+ Sufficient vision, either natural or corrected, with ability to pass annual vision exams
