Minimum Qualifications:
High School, GED or formal educational equivalent.
(3) Three years customer service, or healthcare experience
Good communication skills, computer/basic keyboard skills, telephone etiquette skills, and general knowledge of office machines including printers and scanners.

Knowledge in basic medical terminology required.

Schedule complex patient appointments, procedures, and referrals.
Verify insurance and pre-authorization requirements.
Serve as a point of contact for patients regarding scheduling, eligibility, and financial clearance.
Ensure timely and accurate patient registration and intake processes.
Oversee and train junior access staff (Access Coordinators I & II).
Develop and implement scheduling workflows, procedures, and documentation standards.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
Handle escalations and complex cases involving access or scheduling barriers.
Generate and analyze reports related to patient access metrics, appointment volumes, cancellations, and wait times.
