The Hired Guns are seeking an Account Director, E-Commerce Managed Services to take the lead in delivering tailored solutions to the clients of this provider of technology and services that drive e-commerce growth on Amazon and other seller marketplaces.

As Account Director, E-Commerce Managed Services, you’ll provide close day-to-day relationship management of key enterprise clients doing multi-million dollars of sales on Amazon Marketplace and other e-commerce platforms.

You’ll be your clients’ sensei on paid advertising optimization, organic search and content strategy, business intelligence, data, and analytics.

As your agency’s suite of services grows, your expertise will grow along with it: a big area of their future growth is in providing cutting-edge AI-enabled tools, and you’ll be guiding these big sellers into that new world.


You’ll help your clients grow by analyzing their results and trends and providing strategic advice on spend optimization.

You’ll implement strategies and tactics efficiently by coordinating workstreams across your agency’s internal media, insights, content, and engineering teams.

You’ll drive new business, both within existing accounts and in new account pitches.

You’ll train and mentor more junior account team members.

And you’ll deploy your learnings to assist agency leadership in developing firm-wide technological and growth strategies.

How you’ll know if you’re a fit…


You’ll be the perfect fit for this role if you have at least five years of experience in managing key account relationships for a digital, ad, or media agency with clients who did major commerce through Amazon (we’re talking in the millions of dollars annually).

In that time, you developed a strong understanding of Amazon Advertising: keyword research, campaign creation and execution, reporting.

You’ve got the ability to explain how it works and make meaningful recommendations about how marketing and advertising on Amazon affects a seller’s transaction funnel.

Basically, the better you know Amazon, the stronger your chance of landing this role.

Knowledge of other e-commerce marketplaces (eBay, Overstock, etc.) is a big plus.


You’re an excellent communicator, extremely well organized with strong attention to detail.

You’re experienced in managing client expectations and interacting with senior-level client stakeholders.

You’re a superb juggler, able to balance competing needs and priorities in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.
