About the Position: 


The Martin V.

Smith School of Business & Economics Master of Business Administration program seeks a pool of qualified applicants for possible temporary part-time graduate teaching assignments in Accounting and Finance.

These positions are filled on an as-needed basis and recruitment is ongoing.

Assignments include evening and online courses and may include weekend courses.


Minimum Degree Requirements:


MBA with concentration in finance and/or MS in accounting and active professional with industry experience


Required Qualifications:

  • The minimum degree requirements

  • Applicants should demonstrate the commitment to effectively work with and engage a diverse student population and evidence of how they would successfully mentor minoritized students with special focus on Latinx, Black/African American, American Indian, and Asian/Asian American/Pacific Islander students.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in finance and/or accounting, or PhD in any business discipline

  • 5+ years full-time finance work experience
  • Responsibilities:


    Teach one or more classes as assigned and as student demand allows.

    Conduct and turn in assessment activities as outlined each semester.

    Placement into a range is based on qualifications and experience.

    Initial assignments are typically at the bottom third of the salary range.
