Summary of Job Duties:

The BUS/IT department at UAPTC is seeking to compile a pool of qualified candidates interested in future part-time teaching opportunities in general business, business law, accounting, or economics.

The position may require possible on-campus teaching responsibilities at multiple campuses and may include live streaming, webinar and online courses.

Candidates must possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field, a commitment to high academic standards, a dedication to student success and excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

General Responsibilities:
The position requires teaching at the undergraduate level per semester.

Other responsibilities of this position include:
•Development of course materials, assignments and assessment of student learning outcomes within the structure of the course
• Management of blackboard LMS and online learning environments
• Management of accurate student records and timely submission of syllabuses, roster certifications, and grades.
• Commitment to follow institutional and department policies regarding all course and college procedures
• Ability to establish and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with students, colleagues and staff, including timely communication replies
• Ability and willingness to use contemporary educational techniques and technologies


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in business, accounting, economics, or related field or a graduate degree with 18 graduate hours in business, law, accounting, or economics is required.
  • Availability to teach day, evening, or online classes.
  • Possess the competence and experience to develop, revise, implement and assess curriculum to ensure that students are acquiring necessary skills, including familiarity with technology used in classroom settings.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of general business, business law, accounting, or economics field, a commitment to high academic standards, a dedication to student success, and excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • College teaching experience with community college experience with a diverse student body a preference
