Summary of Job Duties:

Teach in one of the following subject areas as assigned: Computer Science concepts, Programming, Cybersecurity, Software Development, Artificial Intelligence, Web/Cloud Development


This is a pool position.

Applicants will be contacted as positions become available.

The position reports to the department head/program director/dean who assigns responsibilities regarding student needs and course outcomes.


Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Work Experience: Qualifications of instructors teaching in the classroom for both lower and/or upper-level courses leading to an associate or bachelor’s degree requires a master’s degree in the discipline or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the subject area.

Courses leading to a master’s require a doctorate degree.

Adjunct faculty with a clinical assignment must be prepared at the level required by accreditation.

Instructors in occupational and technical areas are generally required to have a minimum of an associate’s degree and related work experience.

Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.

Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Prior teaching experience.

Job Responsibilities

· Classroom and online instruction

· Assess and evaluate student learning

· Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to subordinates.

· Requires consistent on-time attendance.

· Other duties as assigned.

Routine work schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional overtime and travel required

May also include a drug screen, child maltreatment check, and proof of immunizations depending upon area of study.
