Job Description
The Department of Computational, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor(s) for teaching calculus and non-calculus based introductory physics lecture and laboratory for Fall 2025 in person (no online teaching option available).
Required Education and Experience:
+ An earned Master's degree in Physics or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
+ 18 graduate hours in Physics or a closely related field.
+ Physics Lecture and Laboratory teaching experience.
Experience as a graduate teaching assistant acceptable.
Preferred Education and Experience:
+ Working towards or has earned Ph.D. in Physics, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
+ Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates in a college/university setting.
+ Broad training in physics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Excellent presentation skills.
+ Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology.
+ Experience with non-traditional commuter university settings.
+ Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff.
+ Ability to respond promptly to queries from students, faculty, and staff.
