Adjunct Faculty Open Rank – Information Technology, Networking, and Cybersecurity
**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**
Stella and Charles Guttman Community College at City University of New York (CUNY) is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Information Technology, Networking, and Cybersecurity courses for the following semester sessions:
+ 2025 Fall Term - Session II: January 5 to February 26, 2026
+ 2026 Spring Term - Session I: March 4 to June 16, 2026
We are looking for candidates with availability to teach courses during the day, in the evenings, on weekends, and in multiple modalities including in-person and hybrid formats.

In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to use effective pedagogical and technology-based strategies that enable the success of all students.
Adjunct faculty will be responsible for teaching and providing guidance related to the following courses:

INFT 102: Hardware & Software
INFT 202: Database Management & Design
INFT 203: Introduction to Management Information Systems
INFT 201: Networking & Data Communications
INFT 215: Operating Systems I
INFT 216: Networking Security I
INFT 217: Networking I
INFT 221: Web Technologies & Multimedia
INFT 225: Operating Systems II
INFT 226: Networking Security II
INFT 236: Penetration Testing
INFT 239: Introduction to Computer Forensics
These courses are primarily offered to students majoring in the Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and Networking programs at Guttman.

ABOUT GUTTMAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE

The College admitted its first cohort of 300 students in August 2012 and has established a bold goal to increase enrollment as informed by its new strategic plan (Guttman Forward 2028).

**QUALIFICATIONS**
For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Adjunct Associate Professor, or Adjunct Professor:
Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related degree.

Also required is the ability to teach successfully.
For Adjunct Lecturer:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related degree, and the ability to teach successfully.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Adjunct Lecturer: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related degree, and the ability to teach successfully.
For all ranks:
Possess teaching and/or work expertise in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Experience teaching in a community college.

Demonstrated ability in most of the following:
+ Teaching students of diverse racial, ethnic, linguistic and educational backgrounds
+ Active, student-centered pedagogy and significant student mentoring experience
+ Use effective technology-based strategies that enable the success of all students, including, but not limited to, the use of Brightspace and Navigate360
**COMPENSATION**
+ Adjunct Lecturer: $100.41 per hour
+ Adjunct Assistant Professor: $109.54 per hour
+ Adjunct Associate Professor: $118.66 per hour
+ Adjunct Professor: $123.23 per hour
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
