Adjunct Faculty, Robotics, Automation and PLC

Department: Engineering and Industrial Technology

Location: Lynn Campus

Work schedule: consistent with MCCC contract

SALARY: Adjunct salaries are dependent upon the number of credit hours.

This is a non-benefited, MCCC position.

We seek an experienced adjunct instructor to teach courses in Robotics, Automation, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

This role involves delivering hands-on training in industrial automation systems, robotic programming, and PLC ladder logic to prepare students for careers in advanced manufacturing, logistics, and related fields.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and deliver curriculum for courses such as: Robotic Teach Pendant Programming (TPP)PLC hardware and ladder logic programmingTroubleshooting automated systemsIndustrial networking and HMIs.
  • Provide hands-on lab instruction using FANUC, Siemens, or Allen-Bradley systems.
  • Assess student performance through projects, exams, and skills demonstrations.
  • Maintain lab equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.

  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3+ years of industry experience in robotics, PLCs, or industrial automation.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and robotic systems.
  • Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI background check as a condition of employment a
