The department offers undergraduate degrees in Applied Psychology and Population Health Management, Graduate degrees in Applied Behavior Analysis and Marriage and Family Therapy, minors in Arts, Literature and Philosophy, Medical Sociology, and Psychology, and a diverse collection of courses in support of Oregon Tech’s general education mission.

https://www.oit.edu/academics/health-arts-sciences/humanities-social-sciences Position Summary Oregon Tech is accepting applications for Adjunct Instructors to teach online sections of Globalization for the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Department.
The Humanities and Social Sciences Department is recruiting a pool of adjunct instructors for possible part-time teaching positions to support the department’s General Education courses, including Globalization.
The course is taken by a range of Oregon Tech students and is required for programs in engineering, business, and social sciences.
Teaching Modality: Appointments may include courses offered on-line, in-person on-campus, hybrid, or related lab; or in an alternative format responsive to state and local requirements.
Location: The primary campus locations include the Klamath Falls campus, the Portland-Metro campus (located in Wilsonville, OR), and online.
Teaching may be conducted remotely/online, within the United States.
Interested candidates should apply to the posting through the posting on the Oregon Tech Job Board, and submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a list of three references with contact information.
In your cover letter, please specify those areas or courses that you are qualified to offer and would be interested in teaching.
This pool will be accessed only when an opening or need arises.
Your credentials will remain active as long as the pool position is available but no more than two years.
After two years, if you are still interested, you must reapply to the most current adjunct pool.
Minimum Requirements Additional Requirements
Master’s Degree or higher in Anthropology, History, Political Science, Sociology, or related field.Experience teaching at the college level.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis at the time of hire; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or other employment-based immigration support. Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard).Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching, such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
