Faculty Position Information

The Biology Department of Abilene Christian University seeks applicants for the temporary faculty pool as an Adjunct Instructor of Biology.

The call for the temporary faculty pool is continuously open.

The mission of the Biology Department is to educate students for Christian service and leadership by preparing them to become biological scientists, pre-college teachers, and health-care professionals.

We have an excellent heritage of integrating faith with evolutionary biology, as well as being dedicated to Christian care for the environment.

Applicants must have a Master’s Degree in biology or related field and must be willing to teach introductory biology lecture and lab courses.

The initial appointment will be for one set of introductory biology labs with the opportunity to teach additional courses in the future.


Applications must include (1) a letter of interest indicating statements about your philosophy of teaching and about your personal Christian spiritual journey, (3) copies of transcripts for all academic work, and (4) at least three names of recommenders and their contact information.
