Department Summary


The Department of Physics at UNT, offers BS/BA, MS, and Ph.D. degrees.

It also offers a BS/MS accelerated program for students to obtain both BS and MS degrees in 5 years.

In addition to general physics, its undergraduate program offers Engineering Physics, Computational Physics.




Position Overview


The Department of Physics seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time.

This posting is for the Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 semesters.

There is the potential for the incumbent to continue with an offer to teach in Fall 2026.

The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

Anticipated Courses: Physics, and Astronomy concentrations.




Minimum Qualifications


Master’s in physics or closely related field and teaching experience.




Preferred Qualifications


Experience teaching large lecture courses at the college level.

Experience supervising teaching assistants.
