Adjunct Lecturer - Health, Physical Education and Recreation (College Now Program)
**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**
The College Now Program at Kingsborough Community College seeks Lecturers to teach Health, Physical Education and Recreation courses.

The successful candidates will teach HE-1400 - Critical Issues in Personal Health and HS-5200 Human Sexuality.
**HE 1400 - Critical Issues in Personal Health (3 credit, 3 hour level course to junior and/or senior students enrolled in College Now Program)**
Critical health issues from chronic diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes mellitus, to communicable diseases such as human immunodeficiency virus and other sexually transmitted infections.

Students analyze the role of health risk behaviors in the development of disease, injury and disability, and design a personal wellness plan for health promotion.
**HS 5200 - Human Sexuality** **(3 credit, 3 hour level course to junior and/or senior students enrolled in College Now Program)**
Information on the biological basis os sex, sexual behavior, attitudes and values, sexual problems, sex therapy, and the social, cultural and ethics aspects of sexuality.

Teacher's are expected to attend professional development meetings, assessment of instruction and related events.
**_These positions are only available to NYCPS Teachers in College Now schools and is in addition to the teacher's regular work day._**
**QUALIFICATIONS**
A graduate degree in Health, Physical Education, Biology, Behavioral Science or related field.

A minimum of three years of teaching experience is preferred.
**COMPENSATION**
$91.67 - $98.40 per hour.

Salary commensurate with education and qualifications.
