Job Summary
Embed within a specific recruitment community, establish and maintain an institutional presence and serve as a liaison for potential students.
Establish and administer programs for targeting, recruitment, and retention of defined groups of students within the community, make presentations and coordinate events that appeal to groups and individuals.
Develop associated programs and marketing materials.
Recruit students and provide assistance and advice in relation to the admissions process.
Responsibilities
Typical Allocation of Duties:
Manage assigned territory - 25
Compile data necessary for understanding recruitment potential in target community.
Use data to build goals and manage an assigned territory as an embedded recruiter within the community.
Visit schools and colleges - 20
Visit schools and colleges, speak to groups and individual students, and foster relationships with school officials to develop partnerships between the university and other institutions.
Design and implement recruitment programs - 20
Design and coordinate recruitment programs for targeted groups of potential students that show how the institution can meet their needs and the unique characteristics of their community.
Provide information to families and students - 15
Provide information to students and families regarding educational opportunities and options, admission and other requirements, policies and procedures, transfer of credit, and financial assistance, as appropriate.
Marketing materials - 10
Create and distribute a range of resource and promotional materials designed for the recruitment and retention of targeted groups within that community.
Trend analysis - 10
Audit student data and analyze trends in student recruitment and retention programs; develop strategies for program evaluation, then use data to adapt strategies to meet goals for the assigned community.
