Position Overview:

The Special Projects and Outreach Coordinator will assist with our Pesticide, Seed, and Fertilizer programs.



This position assists with statewide outreach initiatives, special projects, and training programs to support agency objectives and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.





Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering training for both staff and inspectors and overseeing public education efforts, technical assistance, and project logistics.



Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Develop, coordinate, and deliver continuing education training for staff and inspectors.



+ Evaluate technical training needs and create programs to support workforce development and regulatory understanding.



+ Plan, coordinate, and implement special projects and events that align with program priorities and outreach strategies.



+ Design and disseminate educational materials for internal and external stakeholders.



+ Monitor federal and state regulatory changes; analyze impact and communicate updates to staff and relevant parties.



+ Draft and revise training manuals, internal guidance, outreach content, and communication materials.



+ Serve as liaison between the department and external stakeholders, including regulatory partners, industry groups, and community organizations.



+ Provide regulatory interpretation and technical assistance to staff, industry professionals, and the public.



+ Support grant-related projects through data collection, reporting, and coordination with external partners.



+ Maintain accurate records of training sessions, outreach activities, project milestones, and regulatory updates.





Preferred Qualifications:

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Public Administration, Education, Communications, or a related field

· Minimum of two years’ experience in program coordination, training, regulatory outreach, or compliance assistance

· Experience developing and conducting technical or regulatory training programs

· Background in environmental protection, pest management, or public sector compliance

· Strong communication, facilitation, and instructional design skills

· Experience coordinating with state or federal regulatory agencies
