Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Engineer specializing in the Amazon Connect platform and its integration with advanced Generative AI services.
The successful candidate will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and optimizing intelligent, cloud-native contact center solutions that deliver exceptional customer experiences.
This role requires deep expertise in developing custom conversational AI interfaces using Amazon Lex and integrating large language models (LLMs) via Amazon Bedrock to build sophisticated agentic workflows and advanced routing strategies.
Technical Expertise (Required)
Candidates must possess in-depth knowledge and substantial hands-on experience in the following areas:
- AWS Serverless Development: Expert proficiency in developing, deploying, and maintaining AWS Lambda functions using Python, Java, or Node.js to extend Amazon Connect functionality.
- Amazon Connect Mastery: Strong command of the Amazon Connect SDK and API for programmatic interaction, configuration management, and developing custom integration points.
- Intelligent Routing: Deep practical experience designing and implementing Amazon Connect's Precision Routing schema to optimize contact distribution and enhance service level agreements (SLAs).
- Conversational AI: Expertise in Amazon Lex chatbot development, including leveraging the Lex API (via Lambda) to build and orchestrate complex, multi-turn conversational flows.
- Generative AI Integration: Mandatory hands-on experience integrating and utilizing Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock Agent, and Bedrock AgentCore for advanced conversational and workflow capabilities.
- LLM Proficiency: Practical knowledge of various Large Language Models (LLM), including Claude, Llama, and OpenAI, and proven skill in prompt engineering to fine-tune AI outputs for contact center use cases.
- Contact Flow Design: Expert ability to design, implement, and optimize robust Amazon Connect Contact Flows for efficiency, scale, and high availability.
Core Competencies (Preferred)
- Experience translating functional designs and technical wireframes into production-quality code.
- Familiarity with cloud and container technologies, including AWS (general services), Kubernetes, Docker, and potentially legacy platforms like Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
