The Alexa Experiences & Services team is looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to work on Personality Experiences as well as other exciting Alexa projects.

The Alexa Personality designer will support the Alexa Experiences and Services team to enhance the customer’s experience by anticipating their needs or current context — and meet those needs with information, suggestions, and/or actions in the most appropriate interaction modalities and CX across multiple product surfaces.

This Senior UX Designer will work on innovative Alexa features and revise existing features.

You will create elegant, intuitive user interfaces that meet unique customer needs.

You will work closely with other designers, researchers, product management, engineering, data science and operational teams to successfully go from early stage product concepts to iterations and launches of new features.

Key job responsibilities

You will be hands on, have a strong understanding of visual systems and best practices, including layout, color palette, typography, iconography and illustrations.

You are at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract, building consensus, and then driving that vision into concise design deliverables.

As a tastemaker and visual storyteller, you will advocate for design excellence and help create meaningful, emotional connection between customers and our products.

A day in the life

Each day, you will connect and collaborate with designers and researchers across the Alexa team.

You’ll work directly with product managers to understand requirements, and develop design concepts that will be reviewed with leadership.

You’ll also work with software teams to deliver detailed visual and interaction specifications.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of design experience
• Have an available online portfolio
• Experience with design tools such as Figma and Adobe CC
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
• Experience with UX design of complex workflows
• Experience with Hands on Visual Design
• A well-crafted portfolio that demonstrates experience creating innovative visual design solutions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company.

Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
