Job description

Our district encompasses more than 720 square miles serving California's Nevada, Placer, and El Dorado counties.

We are proud to have the lowest district-wide class size ratios in Placer County and serve just over 4,000 students in our 12 schools.

To round out their educational experience, TTUSD provides scholars with a wide range of extracurricular activities including band, clubs and sports such as soccer, football, track, cross-country, volleyball, basketball, tennis, snowboarding, Nordic and Alpine skiing.

Starting Salary $33.28 - $42.08

Purpose Statement:

An Educational Interpreter is responsible to the Executive Director of Student Services and works under the supervision of the designated manager(s).

The Educational Interpreter provides interpreting/transliteration services that effectively, accurately, and impartially, both receptively and expressively, using any necessary specialized vocabulary that facilitates communication between deaf and/or hard of hearing students and others; teachers, administrators, parents, students, and counselors, to assist deaf and hard of hearing students.

First Aid and CPR
Registry of Interpreters for Deaf (RID) preferred

Education:
Educational Interpreter:

Performance Assessment (IPA) or equivalent
assessment certification with a score of 4.0
or higher.

Written Assessment or equivalent
assessment certification with a pass/fail
score of 75% or higher.

Completion of an accredited college-level
interpreter training program is
