  • Position Profile

    The Application Architect will empower customers to achieve their goals through their investments in technology solutions.

    Leveraging their expertise, will drive technical solution to help business users utilize the full potential of the technology stack available at HOV, primarily Microsoft solutions, including identifying resolutions to issues blocking critical business processes.

    This role is mostly an independent contributor working closely with Principal Architect to provide fast-paced solution for clinical and operational teams challenging the status-quo with technically refined user-intuitive solutions.

    Responsibilities

    Customer Centricity

  • Gathers customer insights (e.g., feedback around technical preferences, business needs), and works with Principal Architect to map architecture and digital transformation solutions to customer business outcomes.

  • Develops impactful relationships with customers and with application development team and technical specialists, technical decision makers (TDMs), and business stakeholders.

  • Engages with customers for business and technical requirements, addresses them with technical architecture(s), and demonstrates and proves those solutions' capability and value through design collaboration sessions and proof of concepts.

  • Understands how work aligns with organization roadmap and technology strategy and meets customer needs by partnering with the appropriate internal teams and resources to deliver customer outcomes.

  • Assesses and transfers knowledge to close customer skill gaps.
  • Guides other team members to focus on customer experience through efficient delivery.
  • Actively listens and respectfully challenges customers when going in the wrong direction, presents insights and alternatives, and acts appropriately.
  • Apply design thinking methodology to construct architectures that drive value for the customer, incorporating policies, governance, and customer systems into the overall framework.
  • Adheres to high standards of personal and professional conduct.

  • Proactively uses knowledge of the products, services, and value propositions to identify growth opportunities.

    Will drive architecture design and technical optimization that result in production deployment application and increased technology adoption across the organization.

  • Consults and provides thought leadership for technical solution design, development, and deployment and supports them throughout implementation to achieve valuable outcomes.
  • Identifies and anticipates issues and advises customers to operate and optimize performance in accordance with best practices.

    Adapts methodology and applies governance to identify, communicate, and minimize business and technical risks.

  • Adheres to quality assurance standards and calculates risks while ensuring excellence in the design and/or delivery of solutions.

    Leverages standard tools to ensure accurate engagement and adoption.
  • Understands industry trends and the leading architecture solutions and identifies innovation opportunities.
  • Technical Leadership

  • Generates new ideas for changes and improvements to existing applications, technologies, and processes.

    Drives opportunities for reuse, best practice sharing, and accelerates tech adoption.

  • Proactively identifies gaps through delivery and communicating those gaps to others (e.g., Leadership, Development, and Governance).

    Applies subject matter experience to develop new solutions that fill identified gaps.
  • Will learn new technologies or services as advised by the architecture team.

    Aligns professional skill development with role success guidance and principal architect guidance.

  • Acts as a mentor and role model to colleagues to educate them on technical and non-technical concepts.
  • Shares ideas, insights, and strategic technical input with technical teams, internal units across the IT, and the leadership of specific products and their context in the business landscape.
  • Participates in technical community events (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetups, Webcasts, blogs, hackathons) and shares gained knowledge with the internal team.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, low code development, software development/support, technology solutions, architecture, and/or consulting.

  • Preferred Qualifications

    Application Development

  • Proficiency in .Net, Python or similar programming languages for application development.
  • Proficient working in DBs relation and non-relational (e.g SQL Server, Azure Data lake) and analyzing data using reporting tools like Power BI.
  • Ability to integrate Azure offering with other services.
  • Experience with on-premises as well as cloud application deployment, including Azure Functions, API Management, Related cloud services.
  • Low Code

  • Enterprise-scale technical experience with Microsoft Power Platform, architecture capabilities, implementation requirements, integrations, and future roadmap.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Experience in mapping business processes to Power Platform and Microsoft product capability and solution areas.
  • Application Architecture

  • DevOps practices, including continuous planning/Agile, CI/CD, quality and security and one of the DevOps tool chains (i.e, Azure DevOps, GitHub).
  • Experience with scalable architectures using Azure App Service, API management, serverless technologies, container orchestration Experience using integrated development environments (e.g., Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code,) targeting cloud first approach (preferably Azure).
  • 3+ years of experience building application architectures and influencing business outcomes working with multiple line of business and external partner.
  • Understanding of application integration technologies in healthcare is preferred (e.g. EHR integration, FHIR)
