Base salary is $90,000/yr including benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, 401K and holiday pay. OTE is $120,000K + after one year.
Applications Engineer - Water Filtration -Hybrid Role DescriptionThe Applications Engineer position is accountable for supporting the sales team of the company.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: successfully designing, pricing and processing advanced solutions to the customers with high quality and in a timely fashion.
There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Review Request for Quotations (RFQ}, Requests for Proposals (RFP) and validate compliance with the requirements and/or provide comments and exceptions as needed
- Provide the optimal filtration solution for the opportunity via calculating, sizing and selecting the appropriate technology and product, for either standalone or integrated system designs
- Provide the business proposal by working with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and the channel partner
- Develop a system Process Flow Diagram (PFD) and guide Engineering department in
creating detailed general arrangement drawings to be sent with the proposal and/or to be used for cost estimation
- Compile the quote, including final pricing, drawing deck and other requested
documentation and present the quotation to the RSM or channel partner
- Prepare and submit submittal documents as part of the order fulfillment process
- Develop templates for cost, operations, descriptions, P&ID and a parts database to increase quoting efficiency
- Create order data sheets, create/provide part numbers to simplify the order entry
process
- Coordinate and conduct kickoff meetings for all new sales orders
- Working with Sales Leadership, develop and execute growth plans for key accounts that are linked to the organization's market objectives and strategies
- Create positive and productive business relations with Company appointed independent sales organizations, OEM accounts, and engineering firms
- Provide product training and sales presentations to Company independent sales rep/distributors, engineering firms, and other customers as needed
- Gain a thorough knowledge of competitors, their products, and activities
- Handle customer inquiries as needed in a timely, courteous, and professional manner
- Actively search for improvements in the selling process for cost reduction, improved efficiencies, and higher safety and quality
- Up to 10% travel is required for trade shows and customer visits
- Maintain solid communications and relationships with customers and Sales Team
- Participate in training activities to improve customer understanding of the filtration process and products
RequirementsEducation and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in enviornmental, chemical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years in a similar role with familiarity in filtration solutions
- Strong communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with customers as well as at all levels of the organization
- Have a working knowledge of key design standards including UL, cUL, CSA, NEMA, IEC,
ASTM, ANSI and ASME
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in order to meet required deadlines
- Software applications - Competence with MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (MS Office 2016), hydraulic design software
- Consistently show patience and courtesy to customers; diplomacy and ability to resolve sales and equipment related problems
- Effectively integrate into and work within a team environment

- Professional office environment and occasional field environment may occur
- Routinely required to use standard office equipment
- Expected to be proficient with a variety of computer programs; including MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
- Must adhere to company safety policies and wear the required personal protective equipment as needed
