Description
Synergy is looking for an experiencedApplication Engineer IVto work as part of a STE/STN initiative, developing capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
+ Assess interoperability of enterprise IT metadata.
+ Create custom applications/mechanisms to ingest a variety of data stores.
+ Development of data management infrastructure and associated tools.
+ Save and destroy data based on rules.
+ Ensure quality and usability.
+ Create tools to provide automated reports and information about systems performance to facilitate decisions.
Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and eight (8) years of experience in contracts or programs of similar scope type and complexity.
In lieu of a degree, twelve (12) years of relevant experience in contracts or programs of similar scope type and complexity will qualify a candidate for consideration.
Required Qualifications:
+ Familiar with cloud development
+ Experience working with data ingest and manipulation (ETL)
+ Database experience (Elasticsearch, SQL)
+ Data manipulation and configuration (Java, Python)
+ Linux
Desired Qualifications:
+ Application Containerization (Docker/Docker Swarm)
+ Experience with Kafka
+ Requirements management (Jira)
+ Critical thinking
CLEARANCE REQUIRED
The qualified individual must be fully cleared in current access with the appropriate MPO client polygraph.
