Title: Application Programmer
Location:Charlotte,NC (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Compensation
Pay Range:$45.08-$64.40/Hrs
Description
Develop complex requirements, enhance, modify, and maintain applications in a financial technology context.
Design, code, test, debug, and document programs while supporting application maintenance activities.
Collaborate with business partners to define system application requirements.
Utilize knowledge of business environments and technological alternatives to recommend innovations.
Provide insight and direction from a data perspective, assessing impact on technology systems.
Contribute to story refinement and requirement definition, estimating work necessary for delivery.
Set up and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with production support, platform teams, and business partners on technical aspects of the application.
Handle change management, maintenance, platform upgrades, and changes to requirements from interfacing applications.
Demonstrate data sourcing, analysis, and modeling skills to support large-scale data sourcing initiatives.
Promote and apply best practices and standards at a project and program level.
Develop plans with business partners, including success measures, to sustain changes.
Analyze present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches, and facilitate implementation.
Communicate effectively with managers, peers, and business partners on deliverables and timelines.
Qualifications
10 years of applicable experience in application programming.
Experience in data sourcing, data modeling, and provisioning for large-scale monitoring and surveillance data assets.
Knowledge and experience with performance tuning in database systems.
Proficiency in software development lifecycle, agile practices, and continuous integration/delivery.
Strong communication and listening skills.
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
