What you'll do

The Application Programmer mainly programs, tests, debugs, and maintains new applications or enhancements to existing applications (mainly Strata, but other applications may apply).

Job Duties: Builds/develops software applications that support internal or external business functions.

Uses advanced coding methods to create applications that efficiently and effectively perform specific functions.

Codes features or functionality based on detailed specifications or an understanding of business requirements.

Recommends technical solutions to complex business problems.

Recommends technical solutions to complex business problems.

Tests component functionality, monitors production application performance, and troubleshoots and resolves issues.

Develops and maintains internal and end user documentation.

May provide technical assistance during application implementation or maintenance.

Requires extensive experience with one or more programming languages and/or frameworks.

Will also provide data support and data management functions within the finance department.

This includes the collection, verification, retrieval, analysis, interpretation and distribution of data.

Provide data governance to bridge the financial and clinical definitions between Bassett information systems in order to provide uniform analytical solutions.

Working closely with the Director Financial Reporting, Budget, and Planning and Optum, this role provides all levels of management with key reports and dashboard.

Position will also be collaborative team member for developing and mentoring talent in utilizing financial applications.

+ Ability to work independently and in a team environment, within tight time deadlines

+ Decision Support functions including but not limited to financial analysis and reporting, cost accounting and managerial finance, units of service and productivity reporting/monitoring

+ Develops and mentors talent utilizing innovative training concepts and problem-solving techniques

+ Works with teams across the network to ensure data is properly integrated within Decision Support with an emphasis for these teams to validate accuracy and efficacy of the data

+ Ability to tell a story with data

+ Data governance to bridge system definitions and analytic solutions


What we need from you

Education/Qualifications:

+ 4 year/Bachelor degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Statistics, or a combination of relevant experience and education, required

+ Experience may be considered in lieu of education


+ Master's Degree, preferred

Experience:
+ Minimum 2 years data manipulation and data management experience, required

+ Operational experience in a healthcare setting, preferred

+ 5 years Decision Support Software experience specifically around training, preferred

+ 3 years knowledge of Strata and/or Infor software, preferred

+ 2 years intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills, required

Physical Requirements:

+ Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Pay Range

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.

The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.



Pay Range Minimum:

USD $107,051.67/Yr.
Pay Range Maximum:

USD $160,577.51/Yr.
