Application Support Engineer Job Opening In Austin – Now Hiring GE Aerospace

**Job Description Summary**
Responsible for providing “best-in-class” customer experience for collaboration and digital workplace technologies.

You will be expected to leverage new technologies and analytics to continuously improve the customer experience.

This position will be responsible for both working directly with customers, as well as providing technical leadership and to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and tools.

**Job Description**

**Roles and Responsibilities**

In this role, you will:

+ Respond to and track reports from internal and external customers.
+ Perform initial triage of issues, with the goal of resolving more complex problems over time as your familiarity and skillset grow.
+ Oversee defined IT processes to ensure proper execution; identify and report any issues or variances.
+ Interact with customer systems (e.g., logging in, copying files, configuring software).
+ Log bugs and feature requests in tracking systems.
+ Document problem-solving steps to contribute to a growing knowledge base.
+ Monitor support issue distribution to identify optimization opportunities.
+ Identify problematic processes and applications; review error logs and source code to help determine reproduction paths.
+ Investigate software crashes, with potential involvement in coding bug fixes.
+ Proactively identify opportunities to reduce future support burdens.
+ Resolve day-to-day issues related to strategy implementation; escalate issues that impact clients or strategic initiatives.
+ Participate in key initiatives as a project team member, executing defined tasks to achieve project goals.

**Education Qualifications**

+ Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

+ Experience in sustainment engineering, technical customer support, or software development.
+ Hands-on operations experience across applications, operating systems, and network-level support.
+ Familiarity with basic computer networking and common end-user troubleshooting.
+ Experience with Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems.

+ Ability to meet aggressive deadlines while maintaining strategic alignment.
+ Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
