Job Summary

Are you passionate about using technology to improve how government works?

Join our team as an Application Analyst I and help shape the systems that support Collier County’s mission to serve the public with integrity, accountability, and innovation.



In this role, you’ll be more than just a technical resource; you’ll be a problem-solver, collaborator, and change agent.

You’ll work closely with operational teams to support and enhance the business applications that drive service delivery, asset management, and operational efficiency across the Transportation Management Services OPM Division.

You won’t just support applications—you’ll help shape how we work.

You’ll collaborate with teams across the organization to understand their needs, streamline processes, and ensure our systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with our mission.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with department teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.


• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance service delivery, and improve operational efficiency.


• Participate in cross-functional projects, new feature rollouts, and application integrations.


• Support application testing, deployment, and post-implementation reviews to ensure system reliability and user satisfaction.


• Develop and deliver user training sessions, quick-reference guides, and onboarding materials to promote system adoption.


• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base, including FAQs, how-to documentation, and troubleshooting guides.


• Gather and analyze user feedback to inform system enhancements and prioritize support efforts.


• Provide first-line support for business applications, demonstrating strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.


• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding.


• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending innovative solutions.



ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
• Assists with hardware installation, configuring and maintenance.


• Performs special projects as assigned.


• Performs other related duties as required.




Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree required.


• Two (2) years of related experience; delivering software solutions to different business units.


• Candidates without a related degree should possess an additional two (2) years of related experience.


• Fingerprinting required.

+ Salary offers above the minimum of the pay grade may be considered based on qualifications.



+ Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared emergency and/or declared emergency.

On an incident-by-incident basis, the County’s Administrative Office will make the determination as to who will be required to work.
