APS-3: Supply Technician - Property Control

Program Summary

KBR maintains and manages Army prepositioned stocks at the Army Field Support Battalion - Charleston (AFSBn-CHS) land site to include all logistics and maintenance operations.

The KBR APS-3 Program is managed and executed at Goose Creek in support of the Army’s power projection doctrine and resources.

The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX) to ensure that unit sets are configured and maintained at optimal readiness.

KBR also provides maintenance services and logistical support for other Army programs, IAW individual scope of work contract requirements.

Job Summary

The Supply Tech works in the Property Control Office (PCO) with a team of approximately 20 people.

Primary tasks involve managing the accountability of Government Furnished Property (GFP) and using US Army systems to include GCSS-Army and PIEE.

Records of GFP are also maintained in KBR’s systems using Costpoint and eQuip.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supervises regular inventories, including annual, cyclic inventories and monthly checks of sensitive items, are performed to ensure accountability

  • Manage property throughout its entire life cycle, including research for new equipment, acquisition, and disposal of excess or unserviceable items.

    This includes nonexpendable, durable, and expendable property

  • Conducts physical inventories, tracks all TMDE assets, and maintains internal databases and property records for accountability and audit standards.

  • Files and records all calibration certificates, repair data, and reports from external support organizations.

  • Maintains accountabilities for all organizational and installation property.

    This involves preparing and updating supply documents and records, using an automated supply system like the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army), Costpoint, PIEE, eQuip, basic office automation systems/hardware, MICROSOFT Office, SharePoint/Shared file systems,

  • Import data from spreadsheets or other formats, export data to various formats, key data directly and/or create standard and custom reports, compiles and records production data.

  • Use the PIEE system to manage government-furnished property.

  • Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)

  • Must obtain and maintain local base access.

  • Must possess a valid State Driver’s License.

  • Must be capable of getting a Secret security clearance.

  • 2-years’ experience related in fields involving production, logistics, supply, or record keeping using automated systems.

  • High School diploma, college completion viewed favorably.

  • Working knowledge of GCSS-Army, PIEE and Costpoint a plus.

  • Working knowledge of Army unit structure i.e. MTOEs, authorizations, requirements, and equipment readiness.

  • Working knowledge using lift equipment a plus.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and walk - between 2 to 4 hours per day.

  • Must be able to Lift - up to 35 lbs.

  • Must be able to squat, knell, bend, reach and climb periodically.

  • Must be able to work outside and inside in non-climate-controlled environments.
