ARMED SECURITY OFFICER

Saturday (7:30am-5:30pm)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role:

+ Must be 21 years of age or older.



+ Armed security officer (must pass Armed training, have valid pistol permit).



+ IF this is a driving post (must have good MVR).



Duties & Responsibilities:

+ Ability to work Weekends (Saturday and Sunday), if needed.



+ A curious nature that helps you to remain aware of the activities around you.



+ Provide excellent customer service, assisting and addressing the concerns of visitors and employees.



+ The ability to remain calm, solve problems, and act effectively in a critical situation.



+ Conduct regular walking patrols to improve the safety of individuals and proactively identify and report security concerns.



+ Monitor facility access points, employing verification procedures to authenticate the identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting premises, in support of a secure environment.



+ Maintain precise and detailed logs documenting activities, incidents, and notable observations, facilitating comprehensive reporting and analysis for enhanced security measures.



+ Must have basic computer experience and the ability to use a tablet to conduct security reports.



+ Enforce security procedures in the relevant Security Post Instruction.



+ Execute routine tasks with proficiency, such as securely locking and unlocking doors, activating, and deactivating security systems, and diligently monitoring surveillance feeds for signs of potential threats or breaches.



+ Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and other incidents, utilizing appropriate actions and established protocols.



+ Always look professional in a clean and pressed uniform.?



+ Informs and ensures compliance of SEI and Clients policies, such as smoking, loitering, parking violations, etc.?



Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Minimum Qualifications:

+ The State of Alabama requires that you must have or obtain and maintain a valid Security Officer/Guard License issued by the Alabama Security Regulatory Board when providing any regulated activities in the State of Alabama

+ This role requires you to operate a motor vehicle.

You must have and maintain a valid driver’s license from your state of residence for this role

+ Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Preferred Skills & Abilities:

Mentally alert and able to make quick, sound decisions in emergencies

+ Capable of working in high-stress or high-risk environments

Minimum Physical Requirements:

+ Stand and sit for long periods of time

+ Walk a minimum of ½ mile without stopping

+ Climb a minimum of 20 common commercial facility stairs without stopping

Education & Experience:

+ Minimum:

+ Education: HS Diploma or equivalent

+ Experience: None

+ Preferred:

+ Education: HS Diploma or equivalent

+ Experience: 1+ Year Armed Security
