About the Role

This is a Uniformed Security position offering diverse assignment opportunities — based on training, certification, and experience — including:

+ Patrol operations

+ Courthouses

+ Healthcare facilities

+ Schools (K–12 and higher education)

+ K9 Program

+ Special events such as weddings, fairs, rodeos, and concerts

We have openings for both Armed and Unarmed Security Officers in Yakima and surrounding areas, with long-term growth, advanced training, and leadership opportunities available.




Duties & Responsibilities

+ Maintain a safe, secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors.



+ Conduct patrols, monitor access points, and ensure site safety and compliance.



+ Perform access control, verify credentials, and maintain authorized entry.



+ Respond to alarms, emergencies, and crowd control situations calmly and effectively.



+ Document incidents accurately and deter theft or suspicious activity through visibility and professionalism.



+ Physically detain suspects when necessary (as trained and permitted).



+ Support law enforcement or emergency response when needed.



+ Follow company and client-specific procedures with professionalism.





Training & Development

What You Bring

+ Law enforcement experience is a plus.



+ Current or former military members are encouraged to apply.



+ Genuine interest in the security profession and commitment to PPC’s values.



+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.



+ Ability to obtain WA and OR security licenses (Armed or Unarmed).



+ Clean background — no felonies or job-related misdemeanors.



+ Verifiable employment history.



+ Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills.



+ Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and physically restrain others when necessary.



+ Reliable transportation and valid Driver’s License.



+ Driving positions require candidates to be 25 years or older with a clean driving record.



+ Basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, reports).



+ Flexible schedule — weekends and holidays may be required.



+ Minimum 18 years of age (21 for Armed positions).



+ Must pass pre-employment drug test and background screening.





Compensation & Advancement

+ Starting Wage: $19.00–$22.00 per hour (DOE)

+ Leadership and management advancement opportunities available
