As an Assembler, you will hold a very important role in the Kings Mountain Operations (KMO) facility.

In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing equipment to consistently produce a quality product in an efficient manner.

**Duties/Responsibilities:**
• Setting up and performing simple and complex assembly/fabrication operations on bench, floor fixture, or progressive manufacturing line.
• Performing tasks as outlined in the process work instructions.
• Operating hand and/or power tools.
• Perform inspections as outlined in the Inspection Instruction sheets.
• Operate manual production equipment consisting of spot welders, mig welders, gas welder, plasma-cutters, sealer flow guns, spray guns, sanders, grinders equipment as appropriate for assigned areas.
• Use various measurement tools.
• Proper handling of Hazardous Waste generated by plant.
• Upholding and maintaining the team-oriented environment with quality goals.
• Performing other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Supervisor, and/or Manager.
• Maintain a clean work area.

**Education, Skills & Experience:**
• High school diploma and/or GED with basic math skills and reading comprehension
• Basic understanding of industrial safety practices
• 0-2 years of experience working within a manufacturing environment is desired
• Willingness to develop in alignment with the Volvo Way and the Code of Conduct

For this position, the base pay is set at $21.62/ hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible.

The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
