Assembler I Job Opening In York – Now Hiring BAE Systems


Job description

**Job Description**
Individuals should be able to assemble, sub-assemble, & rebuild various hydraulic, mechanical and drive train components in a manufacturing environment.

Will be required to make adjustments and align bore of gun tube and cab turret subassemblies.

Drives vehicles to conform to contractual requirements and makes repairs or adjustments on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.

Should be able to read drawings and work instructions while also being able to take direction from a manager.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
Individuals must be able to demonstrate the following abilities:

+ They must have the ability to safely use assembly fixtures and production shop aids.
+ Perform repairs and/or adjustments as needed.
+ Troubleshoot problems and repair components
+ Ability to use multi-meters, micrometers, height gages and other various measuring equipment.
+ Must demonstrate the ability to be a critical thinker
+ Operate and use hand tools and test equipment such as torque wrenches, portable platforms, material handling equipment, etc....
+ Ability to use a computer to input necessary and required information.
+ Receive and follow directions from Manager
+ Read drawings and work instructions

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Knowledge of automotive testing
+ Knowledge of assemblies and subassemblies
+ Knowledge of Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
+ Ability to drive and operate vehicles and test equipment

**Pay Information**
This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
