**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Santa Clara location in the Structural Heart division (SH).
**Main Purpose of Role**
As a subject matter expert, the Assembler III follows and promotes established procedures and quality standards to assemble mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic components, and performs testing and calibration activities to ensure accuracy and reliability of the assemblies, sub-assemblies, and instruments.
Works to achieve a daily build goal in accordance with the manufacturing schedule.
The Assembler III is expected to train other assemblers on assembly / other processes, and assists engineering in developing methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes.
Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMPs, Compliance and Quality Standards are mandatory.
**What You’ll Work On**
+ Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to perform wiring, component installation, cable harnessing, fitting of assembly instruments, etc.
using hand and power tools, limited automated equipment, manufacturing aides/fixtures, lifts/cranes, and other methods within the manufacturing process.
+ Performs testing, calibration, and verification activities to ensure the accuracy, precision, and reliability of the instruments, and documents the results accurately and timely
+ Inspects and verifies the quality of components and finished products to ensure they meet specifications and comply with regulatory requirements, such as FDA guidelines and ISO standards.
+ Troubleshoots and resolves production issues or discrepancies.
Collaborates with other departments, such as engineering, quality, business excellence, and product development, to provide feedback on product design, manufacturability, process improvements.
Also collaborates with cross-functional teams such as test technicians, engineers, quality assurance, and production supervisors to ensure smooth production flow
+ Teaches and mentors other assemblers on processes and safety, as well as identify and implement improvements
+ Documents and records production activities, including assembly processes, product information, material control of critical parts, labeling activities, and quality non-conformance, accurately and timely.
Helps to approve non-conformances and train other assemblers on the non-conformance process
+ Follows all company policies, procedures, and regulations, including quality management systems (QMS), and contributes to maintaining a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
+ Follows good manufacturing practices (GMP), and comply with safety regulations to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
+ Specific job function may change.

**Shift**
Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
**Required Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma / GED
+ Minimum 2 years related experience.
Medical device, specifically catheter building industry preferred
+ Vocational or technical training in electronics, engineering, or related field is preferred.
+ Familiarity with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and other relevant industry requirements is a plus
+ Strong technical skills in assembly, testing, and calibration of mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic components
+ Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings, instructions, and specifications to complete tasks
+ Proficient in using hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, power drivers, measuring equipment, etc.
+ Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and precision in work
+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to aid documentation review and completion
+ Working knowledge of manufacturing execution systems, ERP systems preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft office tools including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
+ Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
+ Understands root-cause problem solving to identify and perform troubleshooting.
Six sigma training and/or yellow belt certification preferred
+ Must have good hand-eye coordination skills and mechanical aptitude.
Able to lift 50 lbs or more
