This is a remote position.
Job Title: Assembler Language Coding (ALC) Developer Location: Washington, DC(remote).
Duration: Full-Time.
NEED IRS MBI Clearance.
Work in an Agile team to support back-end mainframe systems and provide interfaces to front-end systems.
This means that they can develop mainframe applications (with databases and mainframe systems): Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.
Analyze existing software as well as incoming business rules and conversion details, producing application requirements and detailed design documents.
Working knowledge of mainframe tools including TSO, JCL, Control-M Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
Write effective interfaces to system applications and services.
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software and assist in defect resolution.
Create security and data protection settings.
Build features and applications with a high availability design.
Write technical documentation.
Work as part of application development teams in Java, MongoDB, and other technologies to implement client enterprise systems.
Participate in walkthroughs/meetings/reviews/coordination efforts.
Provide individual status in Daily Scrum Calls for assigned work items 8+ years of experience Staff resource skillsets should include: Active IRS MBI clearance preferable A minimum of 8* years of coding.
Experience with mainframe TSO, JCL, Control-M Hands-on experience with Linux, z/OS, bash shell scripting Hands on experience with JCL development Ability to perform code merging activities using source code control systems Java development, particularly with projects modernizing ALC to microservices Familiarity with AWS GovCloud, Kafka, MongoDB, and DynamoDB is highly preferred The team is reengineering legacy ALC systems into event-driven microservices, so experience on efforts like ITPE J12 or J15 would be a strong plus.
Experience with Ansible is a plus Exposure to MongoDB is a plus Understanding and functioning knowledge of RQM is a plus Bachelors Degree or above preferred.
More experience is required for non-degreed candidates.
