Job Description
Assembler
$15 - $15.5/hourassemblyaccuracy and attention to detail
- Perform assembly operations outlined in job book
- Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
- Notify Manager/Lead when MOS need to be created for equipment maintenance
- Keep records of production quantities scrap and meet expected rates
- Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
- Work with others on a line or group in order to assemble products
- Identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures
- Place correct labels on regrind containers
- Visually inspect all parts prior to packaging
- Perform sanding, masking, inserting, milling and drilling procedures on parts
- Operate automatic robotics, assists on paint line and assembly line
- Build boxes/containers, packages, and label parts for shipment to customer
- High school diploma/GED
- Basic math skills
- Understand measurements
- Basic English reading ability and comprehension to understand instructions in job books
- Basic computer skills
- Must be good at following directions and have a strong attention to detail
- Able to lift 55 lbs.
up to shoulder height on an on-going basis - Able to lift 55 lbs.
above head occasionally - Push, pull, bend, twist, and stoop on an on-going basis
- Grip and hold parts and hand tools continuously
- Good hand and wrist dexterity
- Visually inspect all parts
- Stand and walk up to 8 hours
- Able to work with small pieces that are 1/8 inch
- Good hand eye coordination
