Shift: 2nd (2:30PM - 11PM) M-F
Role and Essential Functions

The Assembly & Test Operator is responsible for performing a variety of simple to complex assembly and test functions with minimum supervision.

This position operates the required testing equipment to ensure readings and recorded values are accurate and meet all specifications.

An Assembly & Test Operator utilizes all necessary gages and other measuring equipment to ensure that final assemblies meet the customer specifications and other dimensional requirements.


Responsibilities

+ Following established procedures, responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

+ Perform basic assembly and test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures and inspection measurement equipment in a production environment.



+ Ensure all equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule.



+ Works closely with supervision and other team members to ensure that production requirements are met and appropriate tooling and hardware is available.



+ Partner with Engineering to report and problem solve production issues that impede productivity.



+ Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping procedures, policies, and practices.

Consistently works in a safe manner regarding self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems.



+ Produce and inspect assemblies for complete conformance to specification.



+ Make necessary adjustments to correct irregular and/or non-confirming assemblies.



+ Rework malfunctions disclosed by test data.



+ Record test results on data forms.



+ May be required to hand deburr.



+ Conduct test audits.



+ Interpret engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications and quality directives.



+ Observe all safety rules and maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area.



+ May be required to run automatic weld machine.



+ Perform other related responsibilities.



Minimum Qualifications


+ HS diploma or equivalent.



+ Must demonstrate manual dexterity.



+ Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.



+ Ability to read, write and understand blueprints, instructions, procedures, and drawings.



+ Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.



+ Must demonstrate effective English verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.



+ Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.


Preferred Qualifications
+ At least 1 year of relative manufacturing experience.
