We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Operator to support production operations at a temperature-controlled manufacturing facility in Bristol, RI.
This role involves performing a variety of manual assembly tasks to meet strict quality and customer requirements while maintaining high standards of safety and precision.
The ideal candidate has prior light industrial or manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Perform manual assembly operations in compliance with customer and engineering requirements.
Work with adhesives, inserts, and part marking on Thermoplastic and Thermoset components.
Operate semi-automated tools such as engraver units, pneumatic crimping tools, hydraulic presses, and potting compound equipment.
Set up and complete new jobs with minimal supervision while maintaining low scrap and high-quality output.
Inspect parts and assemblies using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, and CMM.
Identify and escalate quality issues and collaborate with supervisors or cell leads for resolution.
Train and assist lower-level operators in standard work procedures.
Maintain work area cleanliness and organization following 5S principles.
Accurately complete all required production and quality documentation.
Follow all written and verbal work instructions and adhere to safety and quality standards.
Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance output, quality, and delivery.
Contribute to team efforts by assisting with other related production tasks as needed.
1+ year of experience in assembly, production, or manufacturing (preferred).
Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and procedures.
Proficient in using basic hand tools and measurement instruments.
Strong math, computer, and communication skills.
Must be able to stand for long periods and work in above-ambient temperatures.
Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail required.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Must be able to work independently and meet production goals with minimal supervision.
