**Job title:** Assembly Worker
**Location:** 970 US Rt. 11, Kirkwood, NY 13795
**Pay:** $21ph
**Shift:** Monday to Friday 6am to 4:30 pm.
Overtime on Saturdays 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
**Contract duration:** 4 months
**Interview:** onsite
The assembler will be working on assigned production line and will be required to follow SOP for specific job assignment.
Measure, cut and assemble door units.
Assist a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed.
The assembler will either work on Patio Stock, Interior Stock, or Entry Stock work areas.
Works under immediate supervision.
**Responsibilities**
• Verify materials being used is correct by reading the bill of materials
• Ensure materials meet quality expectations
• Palletize, wrap, and label units as needed
• Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and
complete units
• Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product
specifications
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Verifies that components are being placed in the correct position per SOP
• Repeats tasks until entire door stack is complete
• Cleans up work area when shift ends
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within
a particular field
• Strong analytical skills & Knowledge of all door components
• Efficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail
Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, Square
• Required to stand for long periods of time
• May involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers
• Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task
• Read and understand bill of materials
• Due to the open environment of the facility, must be able to work in various
weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold
• Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities
• Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to
avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service
• Follow all operational and safety SOP’s as written
**Qualifications**
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred not required
• 1-2 Years in the field or related area
