09/30/2025Responsible to the Athletic Director and/or a head coach; provides coaching, development, and supervisory responsibilities of an athletic program

Compensation for all hired extra pay positions (coaches, sponsors, ancillary instructors, etc.) is contingent upon the specific athletic, activity, or academic event being approved by the District to occur during the school year related to this position/posting.

Certifications listed as required qualifications may also be obtained upon acceptance of the position.

  • Reports consistently for work as scheduled

  • Is aware of injuries to athletes and communicates with athletic trainer and parents, is proactive with injuries, makes sure athletes are medically released to return to play

  • Plans for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual character development of all athlete/athletes in the program

  • Produces practice plans that are detailed and assist with the advancement of individual skills progression and and strategy development

  • Regularly pursues appropriate professional learning activities

  • Rosters, transportation requests, certifications are handed in prior to deadlines.

  • Supervises all facilities and athletes before, during, and after practices and competitions

    Required Qualifications:

    ASEP Certification - American Sport Education Program, CHSAA Certification - Colorado High School Activities Association, High school graduate -high school diploma or equivalent, NFHS Coaching Fundamentals Certification - National Federation of State High Schools, Teacher License: Initial - Colorado Department of Education, Teacher License: Professional - Colorado Department of Education
