Visit the following link to learn more: IN Indiana Appointment Type Non-Tenure-track/Contract Length of Appointment FT Academic Year Description The Center for Information and Communication Sciences has a full-time non-tenure track position available beginning in August 2025.

    The ideal candidate will possess expertise in some combination of topics from these domains of expertise.

    Candidates should speak to the domains of expertise which they are prepared to teach in the cover letter.

    Network Infrastructures: Cisco Networking Academy CCNA & CCNP network design, configuration, and security of network services and devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP, wireless access points, QoS, etc.).

    Cybersecurity:
    Threat Assessment; Security Controls for Networks, Servers and Applications; Security Principals and Compliance; Penetration Testing; SOC Monitoring; Digital Forensics; Industrial Control Systems Security

    Cloud & Virtualization Technologies:
    Virtualization; Private Cloud Infrastructures; Public Cloud Infrastructures, Cloud Development, Cloud Architect, Cloud Administration, etc.

    CICS faculty are expected to maintain active relationships with industry which drive collaborations resulting in faculty, student, and Center opportunities.

    Systems Infrastructure:
    DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, electronic communications, client-server architectures, servers (Unix/Linux), and high availability/redundacy designs.

    The salary for the 10-month, non-tenure track position in CICS will be in the range of $60,000 – $70,000 based on qualifications.

    The 10-month contract includes a 4/4 teaching load in the Fall and Spring semesters.

    Summer teaching opportunities for additional compensation are available based on student demand.
    Minimum Qualifications
  • Possess a master’s degree in an appropriate field (e.g., Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science and Analytics, MIS, Computer Science) from an accredited institution by date of appointment

  • At least 5 years of technology-related professional experience OR 3 years of technology-related academic experience with at least 2 years of technology-related experience in industry
  • Authorization to work in the US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

    Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will be able to teach on-campus/online courses in current technologies including some combination of topics from the following domains of expertise (certifications are optional, but preferred).

    Network Infrastructures: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE
    Cybersecurity: Security+, CySA+, CEH; SANS SEC30, EC-Council CND, CISSP
    Cloud Technologies: VMware Certifications, Cloud+, CCSP, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Engineer

    Ability to manage multiple projects within and outside of classroom environment; ability to provide advising and career development for a varied student population.

    A history of leadership in either higher education or industry.

    Required Certifications/Licensures Pre-Employment Screening Requires successful completion of a background check and education verification.
