Position Summary
The primary location of this position is on the main Cullowhee, NC campus.
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) invites candidates for a nine-month tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Western Carolina University’s (WCU) CAA accredited CSD program.
Expected begin work date is August 2026.
Responsibilities include teaching, conducting research, and supervising/advising students in undergraduate/master’s degree programs.
Teaching opportunities tied to program need/candidate expertise – particular areas of interest for this position include speech sound disorders, resonance disorders, voice disorders, and/or feeding/swallowing disorders.
Mentorship is provided.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position Minimum Qualifications
Earned in Speech-Language Pathology.
ABD candidates will be considered with degree conferral by August 1, 2026.Evidence of/potential for expertise in teaching/research/serviceEligibility for CCC-SLP and NC license. Preferred Qualifications
