**Assistant Professor of Molecular and Cellular Physiology**

Stanford University seeks applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology in the Beckman Center for Molecular and Genetic Medicine in the School of Medicine.

We seek scientists who will establish a vigorous and innovative research program in the area of molecular and cellular physiology.

In this position, you will enjoy dynamic colleagues, collaborators, and mentors in our Department as well as access to the state-of-the-art research resources.

We seek applicants with significant postdoctoral research experience and hold a medical and/or a doctoral degree in cell biology, biophysics, bioengineering, genetics, neuroscience, structural biology, physiology or other disciplines.

Relevant research areas encompass these disciplines and include but are not limited to research programs centered on neuronal cell biology or on molecular cell physiology in the context of any tissue, organ, or animal.

The department welcomes and supports a wide range of quantitative methods, including (but not limited to) molecular and cellular imaging, synthetic biology and computational and machine learning approaches.

The predominant criteria for appointment in the University Tenure Line are a major commitment to research and teaching.

The successful candidate’s accomplishments during graduate and postgraduate training should identify them as a creative investigator with the promise of achieving true distinction in research.

These accomplishments should be combined with experience in and/or a commitment to developing world-class practices in research, teaching, and mentoring.

The successful candidate will share our vision of a community that elevates the talents of all of its members and enables them to work in multifunctional, multidisciplinary research teams.

The expected base pay range for this position is $196,000 - $214,000.

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank.

It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
